Cat and Products; Will AI replace creative jobs; mini-retirements
Curated tweet, article, and podcast for you. Issue 02.
Hey everyone, writing this from Bangalore. Came here to meet my amazing team at Nintee. I must say it’s super nice to meet people in person for a few days, chill together, and maybe get on a whiteboard and brainstorm on hard problems.
Startups are a marathon, I learned I shouldn’t sprint often as burned out is real and it will not only impact my performance here but also my health. I have so much to share, will write a separate blog post on my reflections while working at Nintee (spent almost 6 months here).
Have a great week ahead ✨

1 // Your creativity won’t save your job from AI
Okay, that’s a dramatic headline, but the article is really good. There’s such an incredible buzz about AI at the moment, whether it’s from art, to code, to writing, and we seem to be entering some sort of “golden age”. What’s worth considering though is that there’s no mass rollout of any of this yet, meaning the use cases are still experimental and known by a few. Either way, there are some great examples in this article of real-world practical solutions being worked on.
2 // Google has a company strategy, not a product strategy
This is a personal blog, but useful nonetheless. It’s from someone who has worked in product for both Microsoft and Google and contrasts both approaches to product development. To maybe no one’s surprise, Microsoft was all about the long-term strategy, which trickled down many levels. Google on the other hand seems to be more like “have an idea, ship the idea”, which is wild considering the scale of the business!

I took a 2.5 months sabbatical last year and it was immensely helpful for me both in career and health-wise. I believe better than retiring after the 60s, we should be taking mini-retirements AKA Sabbatical now and then.
